The Glasscock Company has been grown from the ground-up as a group of businesses providing transportation, handling, and sales of various mineral and mineral-based products. The transportation arm of Glasscock moves bulk materials including rock, coal, sand, gypsum, ash, dirt, recycled metal and municipal solid waste from source to destination, emphasizing extreme reliability in industries heavily dependent on predictable service.
South Carolina's largest permitted sand mine, located at the Sumter facility, offers various grades of sand, clay and topsoil to operations throughout the Carolinas and Georgia, and will soon offer rail service to more distant markets.
Additional services include management of ash ponds and ash landfills, smaller scale site work, and transportation of environmental waste.
Glasscock Company, Inc. transports rock, sand, gravel, top soil, sand clay and sand clay fill material. We offer a variety of services from one location, including a trucking fleet of tractor-trailer dumps (80,000 GVW) and tri-axle dumps (70,000 GVW), all equipped with Motorola two-way radios. We are especially equipped to transport dry bulk commodities in pneumatic tanks and commodities conducive to loading on flat bed trailers. Also available are front-end loaders, bulldozers, hydraulic excavators and other heavy equipment, for rent by the hour, day, week, or month.
Glasscock Company, Inc. is equipped to supply customers with 30-cubic-yard open top trash containers for construction and demolition waste material. Containers are available for rent by the day, week, or month.

Glasscock Ready Mix Concrete serves the Sumter County area with three concrete plant locations. Plant 1 is located in Sumter at Lafayette and Devine Street. Plant 2 and Plant 3 are located at our main facility on Highway 76/378 West of Sumter.
Our staff is available to assist with your ready mix concrete needs, and to supply any necessary mix data. Additionally, our plant and trucks are approved by the South Carolina Department of Transportation. We invite you to visit and inspect our facility in person.

Sumter County Recycling
Sumter County Recycling, a division of Glasscock Company, Inc., is located nine miles west of Sumter on Highway 76/378 across from Shaw AFB. Sumter County Recycling recycles both concrete and asphalt material.
